Today I had my interview at Swansea Metropolitan University and it went extremely well.
They commended me for having a portfolio box and archival sleeves to show my work in and really liked my images! They said I spoke about my work really well too and the only thing they'd give advice with would be to put more into an ideas journal as it's one thing they require in the course in terms of coursework.
They gave me a conditional offer and said I should have no problem achieving the grades I'm predicted with my standard of work.

Above are two final images from my shoot with my friend Tara for one of my assignments around the word 'glitter'. These were shot in a studio against a white background using a single beauty dish.
Below are two images also from this same assignment but with my friend Luke with a different approach. These were taken in my model's house against a plain wall with a flashgun attached to my camera.
I have also edited two final images from my first Bunny test shoot which I will upload later on today so I don't spam with lots of posts and images!

Above are two unedited images from my picture taking yesterday! I'm going to sort through the images properly and come up with at least 2 final ones which I will expand upon in the future.
I also had a go at creating a GIF in Photoshop from still frames:
It's not very good and there are things I want to change about it; one being the frame speed but for my first attempt, I'm relatively pleased with it! and it took over an hour to make because of my poor laptop.

After coming to the conclusion that I work a lot better at unsociable hours, I thought I'd write a quick blog post update!
So these last two weeks have been fairly good in terms of universities; I have interviews for both Swansea Metropolitan University and Glamorgan University within the next two months! I have also been printing out some images to go into my portfolio. After critique the other week of my portfolio not being 'coherent' and seeing it actually in a portfolio box, I can now understand how it looks incoherent. I'm going to look over all the photographs which I have taken and re-judge those which I originally looked over and also try get some input from other members of my group!
After deciding I want to do a project based on Chip Simons' Bunny series, my mask arrived in the post! It came in a very large box for what it was and had some of the mask mould between the ears which I cut off and have been left with what I have shown below:
I'm definitely going to pitch this as an idea for my final major project and if it's not successful then I am going to still do it as a personal project.
Thursday is going to be a trip to London to see Don McCullin's exhibition which I am very excited about! The excitement is worthy of a '=D' face. We'll also be shooting some 'typical' London images for another assignment which is about helping digital manipulation skills and compositing images in Photoshop.
This week will be a matter of sorting out everything assignment based which I am yet to achieve, finalising my plans for my Final Major Project and preparations for my first university interview on the 22nd of this month!
To finish off; some lyrics of a very good song I keep listening to:
Don't lose focus, because we are halfway there, inception of the end, sacrifice all your fear!Trivium - Inception Of The End
